The European SINGforGREEN project was presented at the Professionals of the Future II event, organized by the European Welding, Joining and Cutting Federation (EWF).
Held in Lisbon on October 21, 2024, the meeting brought together more than 90 professionals from 18 European Union countries and five neighboring countries, consolidating a space for high-level international exchange.
The initiative aimed to analyze the challenges that technical professions will face in the coming years, promoting dialogue between education, research, and industry to anticipate and address the upcoming changes.
As part of its commitment to the ecological transition, SINGforGREEN sponsored the "Sustainability" roundtable, a participatory session in which attendees engaged in a group dynamic focused on real-life dilemmas and trade-offs throughout the product lifecycle. This activity fostered critical reflection on the role of professionals in responsible decision-making in design and manufacturing, highlighting the importance of integrating sustainable criteria into every stage of the industrial process.
