The PACT for SKILLS was launched during the European Skills Week 2020. This is an important milestone for the promotion and shared engagement for Skills development in Europe and for SAM, as the initiative builds on the cooperation already started within Blueprints for Sectoral Cooperation on Skills.
The SAM project supports the Pact for Skills by setting the Sector Skills Strategy Roadmap for the Additive Manufacturing sector. The flagship of this activity is the deployment of the International AM Qualification System (IAMQS) through a network of training providers, sustained by a strong connection between a wide range of industrial sectors.
Further details on the key indicators and on how SAM supports the PACT for SKILLS are highlighted in this explanatory video.
The aim of the SAM ERASMUS + project is the development of a strategy to address the European need to identify and anticipate the skills required in the industry in relation to additive manufacturing technologies. This strategy will respond to the current and future demands of the labor market, thus contributing to the smart, sustainable and inclusive growth of the 3D printing sector.
The consortium is made up of 17 partners, with industrial representatives from the AM sector, industrial associations, technology centers, including IDONIAL and vocational training entities (FP) and higher education (HE).
