On the framework of the project "3D Printing and Intellectual Property: addressing non-technological challenges", developed by IDONIAL Foundation with the support of the COTEC Foundation for Innovation.
Through its Open Innovation Program, a study has been developed as well as a survey that aims to approximate the implications of 3D printing in the processes of intellectual and industrial property management.
The results of this work were presented last Tuesday, September 24, at the headquarters of the COTEC Foundation in Madrid, in which in addition to the intervention of IDONIAL technicians Ana García Lorenzo and David Santos, se contó con las destacadas intervenciones de Jorge Barrero (Director General de Fundación COTEC), Borja Sánchez García (Consejero de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidad del Gobierno del Principado de Asturias), así como de otros destacados agentes del entorno de la impresión 3D y la propiedad intelectual e industrial: Luis Soriano (ClarkeModet), César García (Experto de “los 100 de COTEC”), Mónica González (HP España y Portugal) y Rosa Serrano (CHUIC).

The subject is of great interest in this moment due to the growth of these technologies, al poner sobre la mesa cuestiones como cuáles son los elementos sujetos a protección en un proceso de creación y fabricación digital, o cuáles son las dificultades y retos de un adecuado control de la propiedad intelectual e industrial, en procesos cuya naturaleza digital están ampliando enormemente el marco de organizaciones capaces de acceder a capacidades de creación y fabricación de productos.
