CIRCUPRINT is an experiment implemented within the CIRCULOOS Open Call 3.1 framework, aimed at demonstrating the technical, environmental and operational feasibility of using thermoplastic waste as direct feedstock for Big Area Additive Manufacturing (BAAM).
In October 2024, the European Defence Agency (EDA) issued a call for proposals in view of selecting so-called "Starter Projects" to deliver Proofs of Concept. Within this call the project “Chips to Parts: Circularity of titanium scrap from machining to additive manufacturing” (CHIPART), has been selected.
Pejman Ebrahimzadeh, researcher at Idonial Technology Centre, has recently obtained his PhD from the University of Oviedo, with cum laude distinction. His work, developed within the university’s Doctoral Programme in Materials Science, focuses on how surface treatments and manufacturing methods influence the corrosion resistance of metallic materials.
On November 18th and 19th, Idonial will host the meeting of the European consortium OCEAN at its facilities in Gijón. OCEAN is a project co-financed by the European Union's Erasmus+ program.

IDONIAL has applied to become a member of the Metabuilding Labs Association and has been formally admitted as an associate member by the association's steering committee, after several years participating as a partner in the Metabuilding Labs project.
